Edmonds grad Yon Yilma won the won the Rock 'n' Roll Seattle Marathon Saturday, June 22, 2013.
A 24-year-old Edmonds Woodway High School graduate won the Rock ‘n’ Roll Seattle Marathon Saturday, June 22, 2013 in Seattle.
Yon Yilma won the race in 2 hours 29 minutes 53 seconds, according to competitor.com.
He posted a photo from the finish line on his Facebook page on Sunday and the likes alone were up to 172 as of Monday morning. One commenter said, "Your [sic] so good yon! This is nothing new! You've always been the best and fastest! And most humble about it!"
