Crystal Mountain Closed Through Sunday After Slides On SR 410
One of Washington's most popular ski resorts will remain closed this weekend after three slides along State Route 410.

MOUNT RAINIER, WA — Crystal Mountain Resort will be closed through the weekend after heavy rains spurred mutliple slides along State Route 410. The Washington State Department of Transportation has worked since Thursday afternoon to clear debris blocking the road between Enumclaw and Greenwater.
Initially, transportation crews hoped to reopen the route Friday morning, before a third slide brought down more trees and powerlines at milepost 38.
Friday afternoon, WSDOT said there was no estimate for reopening the road.

ICYMI: SR 410 east of #Enumclaw remains closed between Mud Mountain Road and east of #Greenwater. Last night, a third slide brought down trees and power lines and pushed guardrail into the road. We have no ETA for reopening. https://t.co/25A9mVU8eG pic.twitter.com/ZEWfRXhdxg

Crystal was closed Friday and had planned to reopen Sunday. On Saturday, the resort announced it would remain closed through the weekend.
The SR 410 closure joins a list of other roads that remained closed in King, Pierce and Thurston counties after Thursday's floods. Portions of SR 169, SR 162, SR 900 and SR 706 were still blocked Friday evening due to water over the roads or slides.
