Enumclaw Police: Car Window Broken During Daycare Pick up, Two Arrested in Domestic Disturbances, and Driver Runs Away During Traffic Stop

The following information covering May 23 through May 28 was provided by the Enumclaw Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, May 23

Domestic Disturbance: A man was arrested at 9:01 a.m. following a report of a domestic issue between an ex-husband and ex-wife at a property on the 3100 block of Porter Street.

Vehicle Prowl: A citizen reported a rear left window on their vehicle was broken when they went to pick up a child from daycare in the area of Myrtle Avenue and Fell Street by J.J. Smith at 12:19 p.m. Nothing was taken from the vehicle.

DUI: Police took a woman into custody for DUI after receiving reports she was sitting in her vehicle in a parking lot on the 3000 block of Griffin Avenue at 5:51 p.m. and appeared to be under the influence. 

DUI: Police arrested a woman for DUI on the 1500 block of Florence Street at 9:24 p.m. after a citizen reported she had been drinking. Upon officers' first response she was in her vehicle but it wasn't running; she was warned not to drive. The citizen reported shortly after that she ignored the warning and drove the vehicle. The officer was able to stop her vehicle and make the arrest.

Friday, May 24

BB Guns: Two male juveniles were warned to stop shooting their bb guns when a citizen reported at 2:14 p.m. they were doing so in the backyard of a residence on the 1000 block of Lafromboise Street.

Saturday, May 25

Vehicle Prowl: Police received a report at 10:36 p.m. that several items were stolen from a vehicle parked in the library parking lot on First Street, including a GPS, sunglasses, iPod and wallet. There were no signs of forced entry.

Sunday, May 26

Theft: Police received a report at 3:11 p.m. that two sheet metal-covered doors valued at $1,000 each at an apartment on the 1500 block of Garrett Street were stolen. 

Fleeing Traffic Stop: A driver fled on foot in the area of State Route 410 at 244th Avenue S.E. after a traffic stop at 10:33 p.m. The vehicle was impounded.

Monday, May 27

Egged: Police responding to a report of a possible vehicle prowl on the 300 block of Chinook Avenue at 2:29 a.m. found only that one vehicle had been egged. 

Tuesday, May 28

Property Recovered: King County Sheriff's deputies recovered three chainsaws from a vehicle on the 200 block of Roosevelt Avenue at 12:06 a.m. that were believed to belong to Cutters Supply. The business confirmed there had been a burglary and the property was returned.

Domestic Disturbance: Police arrested a man for assault fourth-degree domestic violence after responding to the 2100 block of Cole Street at 8:51 p.m. for a report of an unwanted subject.
