Enumclaw Police: Kids Left Unattended Inside Car

The following information for Friday, July 19, and Thursday, July 25, was provided by the Enumclaw Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, July 19

Attempt to Locate: Officers tried to locate an aggressive pan handler in a gray van in the 1000 block of Monroe Avenue. Unable to located.

Disturbance: Police responded to a disturbance report in the parking of 800 block of Griffin Avenue around 12:45 a.m. One subject was taken into custody for assault/obstructing.

Saturday, July 20

Traffic Stop: A traffic stop near Watson Street N and Warner Avenue resulted in one subject arrested for drug possession.

Theft: Police responded to a vehicle prowl in the 45000 block of 284th Avenue SE. The thief broke the car window and stole the victim's purse. A speaker and other charging cords were stolen from another car that was unlocked at the same location.

Sunday, July 21

Suspicious Person: Police responded to a report of a suspicious male subject standing by a power pole in the 800 block of Mountain Villa Drive. Once checking the area, the man turned out to be a statue.

Monday, July 22

Extra Patrol: Request for extra patrol on 1300 block of Cole Street for speeders and jay walkers. 

Wednesday, July 24

Theft: Police received a report that three teenage males were seen on surveillance video stealing 7 bottles of alcohol, valued $271, in the 1000 block of Monroe Avenue. The theft occurred around 10:30 p.m. on Sunday. 

Theft: Police responded to an attempted theft of copper wire from some football field lights in the 45000 block of 284th Avenue SE.

Theft: Police responded to a theft of 50-amp power cord from an RV that was parked in the 1200 block of Garfield Street.

Thursday, July 25

Traffic Stop: Traffic stop near Roosevelt and Garrett resulted in one subject arrested for DWLS third.

OSA Assist: Police assisted King County Sheriff's Office on a residential burglary in the 28000 block of SE 432nd Street around 11:40 a.m. The victim's car was broken into earlier that morning.

Animal Complaint: Police received reports of a bullmastiff on the loose and chasing people in the 2200 block of Cinkovich Street. The officers were able to contain the animal in the residence, but the door failed to lock.

Theft: A 13-year-old boy was arrested for third-degree theft for shoplifting from a sporting goods store in the 800 block of Roosevelt Avenue. The boy's mother arrived at the station but was taken into custody for outstanding DWLS 3rd warrant from Bonney Lake. The boy was released to the mother's boyfriend.

Theft: Police responded to a vehicle theft near Marshall Avenue and Railroad Street around 4:30 p.m. A dark gray Ford F-450 truck was stolen.

Child Neglect: Police received reports of three young children left unattended in a car in the 200 block of Roosevelt Avenue around 7 p.m. The reporting party got into a verbal dispute with the parent when he returned to the vehicle. Police issued a verbal warning to the parent.
