Update: Icy Weather Prompts New Cancellations, Closures
SR 18 is closed between Interstate 90 and SR 164 due to downed trees and ice. If you've lost power or know of bad spots on the roads, let your neighbors know in the comments.

Update, 10:37 a.m.: Another event has been canceled: The 6 p.m. meeting tonight to discuss Hunger on the Plateau/Hot Meals for Seniors has been postponed.
Update, 10 a.m.: State Route 410 is now closed in both directions from Farman Road, milepost 22, to Federation Forest State Park, milepost 39, because of multiple fallen trees blocking all lanes, the WSDOT says.
Update, 9:37 a.m.: State Route 18 is closed between Interstate 90 and state Route 164 due to downed trees and ice, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation. You can find all the road alerts here. The latest Crystal to Greenwater state Route 410 report is here. So far, the WSDOT says traction tires are advised.

Good morning, Patchland! Lots of closures and cancellations for today, Thursday, with the weather. Your intrepid editor April Chan is without power over in Bonney Lake, so I’m filling in for a bit.

So far, there haven’t been reports of power outages for Enumclaw city customers, according to Kathy Chambers at City Shops. "Everything's going great. We've had lots of calls about trees on power lines and power lines down, and calling those in," she said, but no outages.
Puget Sound Energy’s outage map shows some customers out in the Enumclaw area. As of about 7:45 a.m., PSE had 70,000 customers without power, primarily in Thurston and Pierce counties, and parts of King County. If you don’t have power but can still get online, let us know in the comments where any outages are. And if you’re out and about, let us know how the roads are.
The National Weather Service in Seattle has issued an ice storm warning through noon Thursday for the region, with accumulations expected of two-tenths to four-tenths of an inch that will make travel “dangerous or impossible.” Travel is discouraged.
Here are the closures and cancellations for Thursday:
•Enumclaw City Hall, Court Office, Finance/Utilities Counter, Senior Center, Youth Center and Aquatic Center are closed, according to the city website. All parks programs have been canceled.
•White River Schools are closed, as are Enumclaw schools.
•The Thunder Mountain Middle School PTSO "Plan Ahead for College" training with Charlie Hoff is canceled and will be rescheduled.
•The Enumclaw Chamber of Commerce Installation dinner is canceled and will be rescheduled. Check www.EnumclawChamber.com for an updated time.
