Kayaker Dies on Green River Sunday
The King County Sheriff's Office reports a 45-year-old woman had fallen out of her kayak and drifted downstream Sunday. Though her friends were able to pull her out, she passed away in the hospital Monday.

An unidentified 45-year-old woman who fell into the water while kayaking on the Green River Sunday died Monday morning in a local hospital.
The King County Sheriff's office reports Monday that on Sunday afternoon, deputies responded to the 33800 block of SE Green River Head Works Road when friends of the woman said she had fallen out of her kayak and drifted downstream.
The woman’s friends were able to pull her from the water and started CPR until medics arrived. The woman was transported to a hospital in Auburn in critical condition.

Sheriff’s deputies said the woman was wearing a lifejacket and was properly equipped.
The woman’s name has not been released and the King County Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy for cause of death.
