Fish Fire 10 Percent Contained; SR 410 Closure Extended
A two-mile stretch of the highway will remain closed into next week as firefighting efforts continue east of Enumclaw.

ENUMCLAW, WA — A portion of State Route 410 will remain closed into next week, as firefighters work to contain a wildfire burning along the highway east of Enumclaw. The Fish Fire has burned at least 120 acres, bringing trees and powerlines down onto SR 410. The highway remains closed in both directions near Southeast Mud Mountain Road, and no detour is available.

On Thursday, updated GPS information around the fire perimeter showed it at 120 acres in size, down from the initial estimate of 150 acres, state officials said. The fire is burning in thick timber and is now 10 percent contained. Photos shared Wednesday showed some of the debris that made a prolonged closure necessary.
