1 Injured In Purdy Shooting, Deputies Investigating
First responders have been called to multiple scenes following a shooting in Purdy midday Monday.

PURDY, WA — One person is injured in critical condition after a shooting Monday in Purdy.
According to the Pierce County Sheriff's Department, investigators believe the shooting took place some time before noon at the intersection of 62nd Avenue NW and 157th St NW, where a witness reported seeing someone shot several shots into a passing vehicle.
However, following the shooting the victim drove himself several blocks away, ending up at a gas station near the intersection of Purdy Drive and 144th St NW. Witnesses there also called 911.

The victim has since been rushed to a nearby hospital. Deputies say he is in life-threatening condition.
First responders say are investigating both at the residence where the shooting occurred and the gas station where the victim was recovered. Little about that investigation has been released, but the Sheriff's Department says investigators do not believe the shooting was random, and that there is no danger to the general public.
