14 Christmas Lights Displays To Visit Near Gig Harbor

Homeowners and professionals across Puget Sound are decorating whole neighborhoods, parks, and zoos. Here are 14 to check out.

GIG HARBOR, WA - This is the perfect week for viewing Christmas and holiday lights displays around Puget Sound - while it will be chilly, there is no rain in the forecast until maybe Friday. Check out these 14 holiday lights extravaganzas around Puget Sound (most displays are off on Christmas and New Years Day) today:

Woodinville Wonderland - An enormous light display at a Woodinville home, it even has its own radio station. The lights are on Sun - Thurs 5 to 9 p.m.; and Fri - Sat 5 10 p.m. 23620 Northeast 183rd St, Woodinville.

Nutcracker Lane Issaquah - This is one of those neighborhoods where all the residents team up to decorate for the holidays. Tour the neighborhood along 190th Avenue Southeast off Southeast 44th Way.

Fantasy Lights - Pierce County Parks and Recreation runs this huge drive-through display billed as the largest in the Pacific Northwest. The lights are on at Spanaway Park 5:30 to 9 p.m. through Jan. 1. Admission is $14 per car, but discount tickets are available at the Lakewood Community Center.

Ivar's Clam Lights - This is a free one-mile walk at Renton's Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park with professionally installed lights. Check it out every night through Jan. 1 between 5 and 9 p.m.

Kent Very Merry Christmas House - Open nightly until about 9 p.m. Located in Kent at 30211 176th Ave. Southeast.

Timberline Neighborhood - Head out to the Timberline neighborhood in Sammamish for elaborately decorated homes. You'll find the display at Northeast 42nd St. and 204th Ave.

Point Defiance Zoolights - After the animals go to bed, Point Defiance turns on the holiday lights. Visit any night until Jan. 1 between 5 and 9 p.m. Admission is $10, but Fred Meyer shoppers and zoo members get a discount.

Garden D'lights - The Bellevue Botanical Garden gets decked out each holiday season. See the lights every night between 5 and 9:30 p.m. at the garden, 12001 Main St. Tickets are $5 and are available online.

Wildlights - Woodland Park Zoo's version of zoo lights. The zoo will light up each night until Jan. 1 between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for children.

Kerry Park - The neighborhood surrounding Seattle's Kerry Park is filled with spectacular mansions, many that are decorated elaborately for the holidays. You also get the best vista of the lights of downtown Seattle from the Kerry Park overlook. 211 West Highland Drive, Seattle.

Hawk House - Homeowner Anthony Mish has created an incredible tribute to the Seahawks in Christmas lights. The house is lit on a schedule Mish worked out with the city of Kirkland. Find out when it's open here.

Candy Cane Lane - Probably the best known neighborhood light display in Seattle. You can drive or walk through the Ravenna neighborhood display nightly. Candy Cane Lane is located along Ravenna Boulevard at 21st Avenue Northeast.

Menashe Family Lights - This West Seattle family's light display is so great that it was recently featured on the ABC show "The Great Christmas Light Flight." See the Menashe home at 5605 Beach Drive Southwest.

Lights of Christmas Festival - You'll have to drive to Stanwood to see it, but the drive is worth it. The Lights of Christmas Festival features millions of lights spread across 15 acres. This display just opened Dec. 10. See it nightly from 5 to 10 p.m. at 20800 Marine Drive, Stanwood.
