The City of Gig Harbor’s Emergency Proclamation, dated March 23, 2020, grants emergency powers to provide health and safety measures to our citizens. Our grocers are currently running out of bags that are compliant with Ordinances #1398 and #1399, and temporarily lifting the ban provides them the opportunity to use existing stock of non-compliant bags to provide food items to our community.
This will stay in effect until the Emergency Proclamation is lifted.
