Expect Delays On Stinson Avenue This Week
Utilities work in Gig Harbor will cause long delays on Stinson Avenue between Tuesday and Thursday this week, city officials said.

GIG HARBOR, WA - An update to wastewater utilities will see city crews perform work along Stinson Avenue in Gig Harbor this week, which will likely cause disruptions to regular travel in the area.
Gig Harbor police on Monday advised residents and commuters to avoid Stinson Avenue travel as much as possible between Tuesday, Jan. 8, and Thursday, Jan. 10, as long delays are expected to occur.
City spokeswoman Mimi Jansen told Patch there could be times Stinson Avenue is reduced to one lane. To avoid long delays Jansen suggested southbound travelers divert around Stinson Avenue by taking Harborview Drive to Soundview Drive, or vice versa for northbound travelers, or take Harborview Drive to Pioneer Way or Rosedale Street Northwest before resuming Stinson Avenue on the Southside.
