Firefighters Suspect Arson After Car Catches Fire In Wauna
Witnesses reported that someone laughed as they ran from the flaming vehicle.

WAUNA, WA — A vehicle fire early Friday morning is under investigation as an arson, after witnesses reported some strange behavior from the scene.
According to Key Peninsula Fire, their crews were dispatched just before 2:30 a.m. to reports of a car on fire at the Chevron in Wauna. When they arrived, they found the vehicle engulfed in flame.

Despite the vehicle's close proximity to the gas pumps, crews managed to put the fire out without injuries or incident — but did have to call police after a witness told them that they had seen someone running from the flaming car laughing. Police are now investigating that claim.
