Gig Harbor Asks Community To Weigh In On New Fire Chief

GIG HARBOR, WA — Soon, the Board of Fire Commissioners will make their final decision, picking one of three candidates to be the Fire Chief for Gig Harbor Fire.

But before they make that final choice, they have to do one last round of interviews with each candidate — which is where the public comes in. The board is asking community members to submit questions that will be used in the final Fire Chief interviews.

The board says this is just one way they can take input from citizens and stakeholders, and use that to make the best decision.

Anyone who wants to have their question asked can submit a question by emailing Gig Harbor Fire at HR@gigharborfire.org. Questions will have to be submitted by midnight Sunday, so interested community members are encouraged to act sooner, rather than later.
