Gig Harbor Braces For Significant Traffic Starting Wednesday

A 10-day road closure in downtown Gig Harbor has police warning commuters to find alternate routes.

GIG HARBOR, WA — Commuters in Gig Harbor are going to want to be prepared for some significant traffic impacts this coming week.

Starting Wednesday, the intersection of Stinson Avenue and Rosedale St NW is going to be closed in all directions for 10 consecutive days. Rosedale and Stinson will also be closed to through traffic in the immediate area. The roads will remain open to locals, however.

The Gig Harbor Police Department says the closure is likely going to cause some significant traffic in the surrounding area. They're asking drivers to plan ahead and consider alternate routes if they normally pass through the area during their commute.
