Gig Harbor Feels The Heat Of Record-Breaking Temps
Monday's hot weather shattered previous highs as the Puget Sound served as one of the hottest spots in the country.

It was so warm Monday in Gig Harbor, even the records melted away.
Several sources reported record-high temperatures for Gig Harbor:
- Weather.com reported a high of 83 degrees, besting the record of 76 degrees in 1987
- Weather Underground clocked Gig Harbor at 86 degrees, while temps almost reachd 87 degrees on gigharborweather.com
- Even on Patch's forecast by Weatherbug.com, Gig Harbor reached 90 degrees. Don't believe us? Several of our Facebook fans confirmed as much.
Monday capped a two-day stretch in which temperatures reached the 80s, although, according to the National Weather Service, highs are expected in the low 70's Tuesday.
