Gig Harbor Seeks Volunteers To Serve On Parks Commission

The commission helps the city make important decisions regarding park maintenance and development.

GIG HARBOR, WA - The City of Gig Harbor is looking for volunteers to join the Gig Harbor Parks Commission.

Commissioners help the city make important decisions regarding park development and maintenance, land acquisition, and other operational matters.

The commission meets at 5:30 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month.

The only requirement is that volunteers have to live within the city limits or within Gig Harbor's Urban Growth Area in nearby unincorporated Pierce County.

Anyone who is interested in volunteering must submit an application online by the end of June. More information on the open positions can be found by contacting the City Clerk's office at cityclerk@gigharborwa.gov.
