Harborview Drive Reopens One Day Early For All Traffic
Harborview Drive was closed to eastbound traffic between Stinson and Rosedale for a full roadway reconstruction project that began Oct. 15.
GIG HARBOR, WA — Commuters who regularly take the eastbound route along Harborview Drive between Stinson Avenue and Rosedale Street may be pleased to learn the roadway reconstruction project that forced detours and delays since Oct. 15 will end one day early.
Roadwork in the area near the Ancich Park construction site is scheduled to end by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Gig Harbor officials said. However, the sidewalk and water-ward side of the drive will remain closed to pedestrians.
The construction project saw Quigg Brothers, Inc. crews fully reconstruct Harborview Drive in front of the park construction site and install a sidewalk and flashing beacon near Eddon Boat Park.
