Hunt St NW Reopens After Days-Long Closure
Peninsula Light Co. closed the road between 52nd and 60th avenues northwest to clean up debris created by the recent windstorm.

GIG HARBOR, WA - The recent windstorm that blew through the Puget Sound, knocking down power lines and trees, forced a partial closure along Hunt Street Northwest, just outside Gig Harbor.
On Tuesday, Pierce County announced Peninsula Light Co. had cleaned up the trees and reopened the road.
The days-long closure had disrupted travel on Hunt Street between 52nd and 60th avenues northwest, through the tree-lined S-curve.
