Maritime Gig Festival Returns, Volunteers Needed
The festival is set for August 21-22, but organizers still need parade announcers, marshals, emcees and more.
GIG HARBOR, WA — The Maritime Gig Festival is coming back this year, but organizers still need a few volunteers from the community to make their celebration a reality.
The festival, an annual event put on by the Gig Harbor Chamber of Commerce, normally takes place the first full weekend in June every year with a parade and celebration along the downtown waterfront.
However, due to the pandemic the festival has been put off until August 21 and 22nd. The Chamber says their goal is to delivery a community celebration once the city is fully reopened. But to make that happen, they'll need a few people to help out.
