Maritime Gig Festival Road Closures For This Weekend
Residents and commuters are advised to expect several road closures during Maritime Gig Festival in Gig Harbor June 1 and 2.
GIG HARBOR, WA — The city on Wednesday advised residents and commuters who expect to pass through Gig Harbor next weekend to plan for road closures around the Maritime Gig Festival, parade and fun run.
Small portions of two primary city streets will be blocked to accommodate the weekend festivities, beginning at 5 a.m. June 1 and continuing through 7 p.m. June 2. Additional, temporary street closures will also occur throughout the morning of June 1 just for the parade and fun run.
Signs will be in place reportedly to help drivers navigate the closure detours.

The main closures occurring all weekend will see Harborview Drive blocked from Rosedale Street to Tickled Pink (a retail shop located at 3026 Harborview Dr.), and Pioneer Way blocked from Tarabochia Street to Harborview Drive.
From around 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, the following streets will be closed for the parade and fun run:

- North Harborview Drive, from Peacock Hill to Harborview Drive;
- North Harborview Drive, from Harborview Drive to Burnham Drive;
- Harborview Drive, from Burnham Drive to Soundview Drive;
- Soundview Drive, from Harborview Drive to Judson Street; and
- Judson Street, from Soundview Drive to Pioneer Way.
