Heads up, Gig Harbor and Key Peninsula parents: Here's a look at Peninsula School District's list of important dates for the 2013-14 school year.

  • Sept. 4: First day of school
  • Oct. 14-18: K-8 Fall Conference Days (early dismissal)
  • Nov. 11: NO SCHOOL – Veteran’s Day 
  • Nov. 28-29: NO SCHOOL – Thanksgiving Break
  • Dec. 23-31: Winter Break
  • Jan. 1-3: Continuation of Winter Break
  • Jan. 20: NO SCHOOL - Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
  • Feb. 17-21: Mid-Winter Break
  • March 31 – April 1: K-5 Spring Conference Days (early dismissal)
  • April 14-18: Spring Break
  • May 26: NO SCHOOL – Memorial Day
  • June 19: Last day of school (not including possible snow make-up days)
The following dates are No-Late Start Wednesdays. All other Wednesdays in the school year are 1 hour late start:
  • Sept. 4: First Day of School
  • Oct. 16: K-8 Conference week
  • March 19: State testing for 10th- 12th grades
  • April 30: MSP testing for 3rd– 8th grades
