Peninsula to Face Bonney Lake in Tie-Breaker

The SPSL/Seamount/Bremerton Sub-District tournament bracket matches Peninsula against Bonney Lake.

The tournament bracket for the SPSL/Seamount/Bremerton Sub-District was released Monday, but several tie-breaker games are needed to finalize the match-ups. The boys basketball teams from Bonney Lake and will face off to determine who will advance in the playoffs.

When: Tuesday, Feb. 8, 7 p.m.

What’s at stake: The final SPSL spot in the sub-district playoffs. Both teams have just one league win and are playing to see who’s season ends and who advances as the number-five seed to play Bremerton on Friday. Whichever team advances will need two wins in sub-districts to qualify for the West Central District playoffs.

Season head-to-head: Both teams lone league win came against one another. Bonney Lake blew out Peninsula in early January, while Peninsula got even with a 64-61 win last week.

Key Players: Ramsey Thoms averages 14 ppg for Bonney Lake, including over 19 per game over his last three. Connor Horkan averages 10.5 ppg for Peninsula.
