Gig Harbor Police Search For Car Prowl Suspect
Officers are hoping the public will recognize a thief who broke into a car on July 4, and used a stolen card at the Lakewood Walmart.

GIG HARBOR, WA — Police are looking for a car prowler who stole a purse from a Gig Harbor car, then went shopping with a stolen card in Lakewood.
According to police, the initial theft happened early on July 4. A car prowler broke into a woman's and made off with her purse, which had her credit cards, ID and spake keys inside.
Shortly after the theft, one of the stolen credit cars was used to make a purchase at the Lakewood Walmart. Police have released security stills which they say show the suspect as he enters and exits the Walmart. In the photo below he can be seen on the far right, wearing a white Adidas hoodie.

After using the stolen card, the man left the store in a gray or silver sedan, which appears to have a white hood and damage near the front left wheel.

Anyone who recognizes the man or his vehicle is asked to give Gig Harbor Police a call at (253) 851-2236. Police say callers can reference case 2015600512.
