Red Flag Warning Issued for Gig Harbor, Much of Western Washington
A Red Flag Warning is in effect until 8 p.m. Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
The National Weather Service in Seattle has issued a Red Flag Warning for most of western Washington, including Gig Harbor, until 8 p.m. Thursday.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures will create explosive fire growth potential.
In Gig Harbor, Thursday's forecast calls for sunny skies with a high near 75. No rain is currently in the forecast through the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
