State Route 16 Ramp, South 38th Street To Close Wednesday
The ramp will reopen by 5 a.m., Thursday.

The ramp from southbound Interstate 5 to both westbound State Route 16 and to South 38th Street will close at 11 p.m., Wednesday, for striping work associated with the new exit to South 38th Street.
Motorists will be detoured to westbound SR 16 (or South 38th Street) via the South 56th Street interchange. The ramp will reopen by 5 a.m. Thursday.
Other closures will occur this week on eastbound SR 16 while crews place girders for new bridges in the Interstate 5/SR 16 Eastbound Nalley Valley construction project. The girders are being placed for three bridges: 1) the new permanent eastbound SR 16 viaduct; 2) the South Sprague Avenue on-ramp to southbound I-5; and 3) the South Sprague Avenue on-ramp to northbound I-5.

From Monday through Friday, July 8-12, crews will close all eastbound SR 16 lanes at South Union Avenue, along with the South Union Avenue on-ramp to eastbound SR 16. During the closures, traffic will be detoured via South Union Avenue. The lanes and ramp will reopen each following morning by 4 a.m.Â
At 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, July 8-11, crews will close South Center Street between South Pine Street and South Wilkerson Street, and detour traffic onto South Tacoma Way. South Center Street will reopen at 4:30 a.m., each following morning.
