Tonight: National Night Out

Make sure to come down to the Gig Harbor Civic Center at 3510 Grandview St. tonight for Gig Harbor's annual National Night Out.

The free community event takes place from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. today.

Public parking is available at neighboring businesses including Kitsap Bank (Grandview Street and Pioneer Way) and State Farm Insurance Ken Uddenberg (7201 Pioneer Way). 

Event goers are also encouraged to use the PT Trolley, which runs daily every 30 minutes. The trolley stops at Kimball Drive and Pioneer Way. The fare is 25-cents (cash) for ages 6 and up.Visit the Pierce Transit website for more trolley information.

There will be free hot dogs, ice cream, popcorn and coffee.

Local band, Third in Line, will be performing live from 7:30 to 9 p.m.

Along with local police and fire departments, all military agencies will be present at the event.
