Washington Heroes: Help Patch Recognize Those Making A Difference

WASHINGTON — The adage "not all heroes wear capes" is one that's apparent in society now, more than ever. We want to hear about the "heroes" who are helping your community get through these changing times.

Patch has partnered with Ring to shine a spotlight on the neighborhood heroes who are making a difference in their communities, whether it's the clerk at your local grocery store who went above and beyond to help you, the nurse who tended a sick family member or the stranger who showed you a moment of kindness.

So far in Washington, we've heard about Darlene Sorti, the director of Northaven senior living facility who helped protect her residents from the virus, Michael Fries, an assistant grocery manager who has worked tirelessly on the front lines to help his community and many more.
