2 Lanes Of I-5 Closed In Lakewood For Emergency Repairs
WSDOT says drivers in the area should expect to see delays.
LAKEWOOD, WA — 2 lanes of northbound I-5 have been closed for repair crews fixing up an emergency storm catch basin that failed overnight Monday.
According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, the closure is centered near Berkeley Street in Lakewood, and will likely cause backups for drivers heading north through the area for several hours as the crews work.
TRAFFIC ALERT: @wsdot is conducting an emergency two-lane closure on northbound I-5 near the @MadiganHealth Gate. Expect long backups for northbound travel south of the Madigan/Berkeley St exit for the next few hrs. Crews are repairing the new storm water catch basin that failed.
