5 Injured In 2-Car Crash On SR-7: WA State Patrol

All five people involved in a 2-car crash on SR-7 Sunday night were reportedly injured, including a 19-year-old, who is facing a DUI charge.

EATONVILLE, WA — A 19-year-old is facing charges for vehicular assault and driving under the influence for allegedly causing a two-car crash Sunday night on State Route 7, four miles south of Eatonville and just outside La Grande. All five occupants of both vehicles involved were reportedly injured.

The crash occurred around 7:30 p.m. June 30, when Patrick J. Reed attempted to pass another vehicle in a no-pass zone, on a curve, along a narrow, two-lane stretch of SR-7 near milepost 24 and Pilgrim Road East, according to Washington State Patrol.

In the curve, Reed, a Spanaway resident, inadvertently rammed his red 1994 Honda Civic head-on into a Morton family's white 2016 Ford Flex. Reed was heading north when the crash occurred, WSP officials said.
