Champions For Youth Breakfast Celebrates 20 Years For Communities In Schools

Join us for our annual Champions for Youth Breakfast and celebrate 20 years of Communities In Schools of Lakewood (CISL) “helping kids prepare for life.”

It’s the same time and the same location… held on Thursday, March 28 at 7 a.m. at the Old Country Buffet in the Lakewood Towne Center.

CISL helps our Lakewood youth achieve academic success and provides access to the basic five promises through a variety of proven programs.  The CISL network encourages collaboration and the sharing of ideas and best practices from all parts of the country… all to the benefit of our own students.

The featured speaker will be David Pritchard, assistant football coach at Clover Park High School, a local author and national speaker for Young Life.  As a resident and coach in our community, he has positively influenced the lives of hundreds of Lakewood youth.  Also included in the program are success stories from students and accolades to those people and organizations which were instrumental in bringing CIS to Lakewood 20 years ago.

There is no charge to attend, but a donation of $50 is respectfully requested.  Funds generated at this event insure the continuance of the After-School, Readiness to Learn and Champion Mentor programs in Clover Park School District schools.
