LAKEWOOD, WA - The Clover Park School District is starting projects to improve security and expanding parking lots this summer. The projects will continue through the upcoming school year, according to a statement from the district.

The safety enhancements include upgrading equipment and infrastructure and several schools, including vestibules, digital display monitors, telecommunication alerts, emergency lock down buttons and access controls. Security fencing and gates will also be added at several schools.

Parking lots are being replaced or expanded at Lochburn Middle School and Lake Louise and Idlewild elementary schools.
