The Clover Park School District's (CPSD) daffodil float won the Queen's Award during this year's Grand Floral Parade April 13. The Queen's Award is given to the float that has the best use of the festival theme. This year's theme was "The Magic of Music." "This is one award we've been trying to get for 10 years," said Terese High, secretary at Park Lodge Elementary and organizer of CPSD's daffodil float committee. "We earned the Grand Sweepstakes award in 2009 and now the Queen's Award. It makes all the hard work worth it!" High has organized the district's float decorating committee for a decade. Each year, the float is assembled in the district's bus barn. Students from Tyee Park and Lake Louise Elementary schools rode on the float during the parade.Clover Park High School's Daffodil Princesses Suga Iopu attended Tyee Park. Helena Laubach, Lakes High School's Daffodil Princess, volunteers at Lake Louise.  -Clover Park School District
