Construction To Limit Speeds On Lakewood Drive For 2 Months

Lakewood Police are warning drivers that they'll be on scene, making sure everyone is obeying the new speed limit.

LAKEWOOD, WA — A construction project in will be limiting speeds on Lakewood Drive for at least the next two months.

According to Lakewood Police, during that time crews will be working on Lakewood Drive from the intersection with Steilacoom Boulevard up through the 8000 block of the roadway.

While they're there, the speed limit will be cut to 25 miles per hour in the immediate area. Police say they want the public to be forewarned about the construction — and to slow down, otherwise they could face a ticket. The department will have officers on scene to make sure the reduced speed limit is enforced.
