Construction Project To Close Lanes Of I-5 Overnight This Week

LAKEWOOD, WA — Commuters in the Lakewood area will want to be aware of several road closures in the area planned for this week.

According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, the following closures will be in place Monday through Friday:

• Northbound and southbound I-5 will each be reduced to a single lane between 41st Division Drive near JBLM to Gravelly Lake Drive in Lakewood. The northbound closure will run from 10:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. each day. The southbound closures run 11:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.
• One lane of southbound I-5 will also be closed from the Port of Tacoma Road to McKinley Way overpass from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. each morning.
• The SR 167 on-ramp to I-5 will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5:30 a.m Monday - Thursday.
