Dupont's largest annual event is back! The 3rd Annual Kansas City BBQ Society (KCBS) sanctioned “Hudson Bay Heritage Days BBQ Cookoff” will be held 17 & 18 August, 2019 in DuPont, WA. The event is produced by Tom Riggs and the American Legion Post 53 Pat Tillman Memorial. Over 5000 expected to attend."Our second year was a great success for teams and visitors alike. If you are a Pit Master, you need to be here. And if you just love to eat great BBQ you should be here too!" -Tom Riggs
This year will be amazing with an added chili competition and the Nisqually Tribe donating their prized "King Salmon" which is currently being harvested from local rivers. If you want more of the salmon we highly encourage you to visit their She Nah Nam Seafood Market on the Nisqually Reservation. It is open to the public.
They will again be joined by the Classical Glass Car Club of Tacoma and the City of DuPont’s Historical Society. It will be another exciting weekend in the friendliest city in the Northwest. There is so much for the whole family to enjoy to include the NorthWest Landing ROA and City of Dupont coming in to provide all the kids events to include bouncy houses and much more. I am sure that with this third year, they will make the kids experience even greater. Go enjoy the live music and get a locally brewed beer in the beer garden. This is a premier event in the Pacific Northwest that you do not want to miss.
