LAKEWOOD, WA — Community members are rallying to raise money for several Lakewood residents who lost their homes earlier this week.

On Tuesday, a fire on the third story of the Four Fountains Apartments on Thunderbird Parkway destroyed 10 units. One resident had to be rescued from the building by firefighters, but no one was harmed.

Unfortunately, the residents of those 10 units now have to scramble to find new places to live. Now, the community is coming together to help through a pair of GoFundMe fundraisers.

The first, found here, aims to raise $1,500 to boost all 15 people who lost their homes in the fire. As of Friday morning, it had already raised more than $300 towards its goal.

The second was set up by Bailey Trujillo specifically to help her sister and nephew who lost their home and everything in it. That fundraiser can be found here.
