LAKEWOOD, WA — Police believe a woman who earlier this month robbed a Subway in Lakewood used a Pierce Transit bus as her getaway vehicle. Now they're hoping the community can help identify her.

The strong-arm robbery reportedly occurred just before 8:30 p.m. July 2 at the Subway located at 6111 Lakewood Towne Center Blvd. S.W. According to police, the woman entered the sandwich shop, handed the Subway employee a note, and threatened violence if the employee did not comply.

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the woman fled on foot "and may have used a Pierce Transit bus to get out of the area," police said in a post on social media.
