JBLM To Air Memorial Day Recording In Lieu Of In-Person Ceremony
Due to the pandemic, the base says they've made the tough call to cancel all in-person Memorial Day events this year.
LAKEWOOD, WA — Joint Base Lewis-McChord confirms it will not be hosting a Memorial Day ceremony this year.
According to the base, the COVID-19 pandemic has prevented them from organizing a traditional Memorial Day event. Instead, the JBLM leaders and active service members will prerecord and air a short ceremony, in an effort to honor those soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
