JBLM Gets Huge Thanksgiving Meal From America's First Corps
More than 500 soldiers, family members and civilian workers were fed a tremendous Thanksgiving feast at JBLM last week.

JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, WA — More than 500 soldiers and civilians at Joint Base Lewis-McChord were treated to a genuine Thanksgiving meal last week when cook from across America's First Corps stepped up to prepared a holiday feast just like home.
The meal was served Nov. 23 at Courage Inn DFAC at JBLM and included rotisserie chickens, two dozen turkeys, eight hams, a dozen roast beef "steamships," and 250 servings of salmon, along with all the fixings.
"We like to serve as much as we can for their Thanksgiving meal, because for some of the soldiers, this may be their first time away from home at Thanksgiving and we want to make sure they have everything they need, just like at home," Sgt. 1st Class Julio Quintanilla, Courage Inn's Noncommissioned Officer in Charge from HHBn, told NorthwestMilitary.com.

Soldiers from the 201st Expeditionary Military Intelligence Brigade, 51st Signal Battalion, 62nd Med, and the First Corps Headquarters & Headquarters Battalion, as well as their families and civilian workers on-base all shared in the festivities.
"This is like our Super Bowl, so we like to make sure that we get some of the foods the soldiers don't get to eat on a regular basis," Quintanilla said. "For instance, today we have salmon as well as rotisserie chicken that we're preparing in addition to all the usual Thanksgiving fare."
