JBLM To Resume Mortar And Artillery Training Next Week
If you live near Joint Base Lewis-McChord, expect a little extra noise for a few days after Valentine's.
LAKEWOOD, WA — Joint Base Lewis McChord has announced that they will be resuming mortar and artillery training next week — and are warning everyone that means there's likely to be some extra noise even fairly late into the evenings.
According to JBLM, the training will run from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday next week.
During artillery training, JBLM Army units fire live munitions into a designated "artillery impact area" on JBLM's main campus.
