Jermaine Kearse's 2 Touchdowns Against Broncos: Give Him A Spot, Playing Time

The Lakes High and University of Washington product scored a pair of touchdowns, including an electrifying, 107-yard kickoff return for touchdown.

Anyone who has been to a Seattle Seahawks home game can tell you about trying to hold a conversation immediately after a snap.

The Richter-registering noise the Qwest Field crowd generates is deafening, especially this preseason. You can't hear a thing. Certainly, the sideline can't make out the messages from the masses.

But on Saturday night during Seattle's 40-10 drubbing of Denver, the 67,635 in attendance practically telegraphed a message to Seahawks Coach Pete Carroll: Give Lakes High and University of Washington product Jermaine Kearse a spot on the team and give him significant playing time.

Kearse - who's benefitting from the hip injury that will keep Percy Harvin sidelined for most of the season - scored a pair of touchdowns against Denver, including an electrifying, 107-yard kickoff return that demonstrated Kearse's surprising breakaway speed.
