Lakewood City Council To Honor Mike Carrell With Proclamation

Lakewood leaders will present the official proclamation to Carrell's wife, Charlotte.

The legacy of former 28th District Senator Mike Carrell will be honored with a proclamation Monday at the Lakewood City Council meeting, according to Sen. Steve O’Ban, R-Pierce County.

“I can’t think of anyone more deserving than my friend Mike,” said O’Ban. “He faithfully served the Lakewood community and the 28th Legislative District for nearly 20 years, and he loved representing his neighbors and friends. It was an honor to know him and to now fill his seat in the Senate and carry on his passionate work for the people of Pierce County.”

Lakewood Mayor Don Anderson and city council members will present the official proclamation to Carrell’s wife, Charlotte, in recognition of his contributions to the city of Lakewood and the state of Washington. O’Ban encourages supporters and friends of Carrell to attend the upcoming city council meeting and ceremony.
