Lakewood Farmers Market Returns For Second Season Today

The first year was such a success that organizers are bringing back the Lakewood Farmers Market for another year.

This season the market is scheduled for the same time every Tuesday, through Sept. 17, save for two days. Organizers are offering two extended market days on July 30 and Sept. 10, when the market will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

If you go Tuesday, you can get a free reusable market bag with a purchase from any of the market vendors while supplies last. You can also enjoy live entertainment provided by The Intrusions, a local jazz ensemble.

But like last year, the center of the market will be fresh produce, delicious treats and crafts offered by vendors. Also new this year are themed days and live entertainment, according to the city. Entertainment is sponsored by WSECU.
