One Injured In Lakewood House Fire
Firefighters are trying to determine what sparked a house fire in east Lakewood early Thursday.

LAKEWOOD, WA — One person was injured when their Lakewood home caught fire Thursday.
According to West Pierce Fire, their crews were called to a home in the 3400 block of 867th Street S sometime before 10 a.m.

When they arrived, they found a home billowing smoke from the windows. Firefighters rushed to search the building, and found one person still inside.
After carrying the resident to safety, they were transported to a nearby hospital, where medics say they are in serious condition. No other injuries have been reported, and it's unclear if anyone else was in the home when the fire started.
