Pierce Health Announce DuPont Vaccine Clinic, Sign-Up Thursday

PIERCE COUNTY, WA — The Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department have announced another free vaccine clinic in DuPont.

Registration for the event will open at noon Thursday. The clinic itself will be next Monday.

Anyone who wants a shot at this clinic will need to act quickly: the last few clinics have filled up in just minutes.

As with other TPCHD vaccination clinics, to qualify for a shot you should work or live in Pierce County. Applicants must also be in Phases 1A or 1B1 of the state's vaccination plan.

That includes:

• Health care workers.
• Medical first responders.
• Residents and staff of long-term care facilities.
• Anyone 65 and older.
• Residents 50 or older and who live in a multigenerational household.

Teachers were also added to phase 1b1 by Gov. Jay Inslee on Tuesday.

Registration for the event opens at noon Thursday. When it does, a link to apply will be posted on the health department's website at http://tpchd.org/vaxtothefuture. The health department says if you are on the website at that time and don't immediately see a link, try to refresh the page.

TPCHD says they're hoping to allow residents without internet access to register by phone in the near future. They're also aware that some don't have transportation and can't reach these clinics, and have plans to address that issue soon.
