
Several Clover Park School District high school students received a Varsity Letter in Community Service May 22 during a ceremony at the Western Washington Fair Grounds.
The program is sponsored by the United Way of Pierce County.
According to the United Way, high school students who volunteer 145 hours or more of service in a year can earn a school varsity letter. Pierce County is the first county in the nation to offer such a program which started in 2002. The students are:
