Suspect in Spokane Shooting Could Be Hiding In Lakewood or Tacoma

Authorities in Spokane say Issiah Schauman got into a dispute and allegedly shot the man.

A 19-year-old man wanted for allegedly shooting his neighbor over a dispute could be hiding in the Lakewood or Tacoma area.

Issiah Schauman – who’s known to go by the last name ‘Harvey’ — has been on the run ever since Spokane County detectives say he overreacted when he was confronted by a guy at an apartment complex.

“The victim believed the suspect had stolen items from a friends residence,” says Major Crimes Det. Lyle Johnston. “The victim was going to contact Issiah about the stolen property, confront him about what had happened with it. A dispute erupted. It doesn’t sound like there was a whole lot of exchange, just a few words back and forth, when Issiah pulled out a firearm and shot the victim.”

Det. Johnston says other than a few run-ins with the law, Schauman has no criminal history.

Here are the details on Schauman:

  • Fake last name: ‘Harvey’
