COMING UP: Designer Showhouse at Lakewold Gardens
Officials say they're pleased that the partnership between the gardens and the Washington State Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers will allow visitors to see areas of the historic mansion that are not normally open for public vie

Lakewold Gardens and the Washington State Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) have partnered to bring a Designer Showhouse to the gardens. Now, through the end of March, The Wagner House will be abuzz with transformation.
Michael Bowman, ASID Washington State Chapter President notes, “We have obtained a marvelously talented group of professional designers to transform some of the interior rooms in The Wagner House by embellishing designated rooms with their individual design visions; providing fresh paint, wall treatments, fabulous furniture, lighting, floor treatments and accessories.” The designers who have partnered and donated their time and talent to this event are as follows:

Lakewold’s Executive Director, Stephanie Walsh, is pleased with this partnership that will enable visitors to see areas of the historic mansion that are not normally open for public viewing.
The participating designers, each responsible for a single room or area of the house, are providing their design services free of charge. Some are using their own resources, while others have arranged for donations of materials, furniture and fixtures they require. Visitors to the Showhouse will be able to see these artful designs as presented in a historic home. With the gardens beginning their spring bloom cycle, the 10-acre estate will be a must-experience spring activity.
Early bird tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online for $16 each, through March 28th at http://www.lakewoldgardens.org/Designer_Showhouse.html
Show will be open to the public April 3rd through April 21st, 2013.
Once the show opens, all tickets are available at the door, with prices as follows:
- Members of Lakewold: $18 per person
- General Admission: $22 per person
- Seniors (62+): $18 per person
- Military (with ID): $18 per person
- Students (with ID): $18 per person
- Children (6-18): $18 per person
- Pre-reserved/paid Groups of 10+ $18 per person
- Children (5 and under): Free
