Washington Leaders, Agencies Celebrate Veterans Day
Officials and groups from across the evergreen state are marking Veterans Day 2020 by sharing messages of thanks to America's veterans.
WASHINGTON — For Veterans Day 2020, officials and agencies across the evergreen state took a moment to recognize the sacrifice and service that America's veterans have made for their country.
Gov. Jay Inslee shared a message over Twitter Wednesday, thanking veterans on behalf of all Washingtonians.
On behalf of 7 million Washingtonians, I want thank all those who have served and sacrificed to protect this nation. Thank you for all you have done for this country, and all you continue to do for our communities. #VeteransDay

Joint Base Lewis-McChord also got in on the celebration, posting a video celebrating the thousands of active military members who work at the base.
JBLM supports over 40,000 service members and 14,000 civilian workers. The post also supports more than 90,000 veterans, retirees and family members.
