
The announced the promotion of Jamie Prescott and hiring of Jeffrey D'Ambrosio to the Administrative Team as Associate Principals.
Jamie has been home grown in the Mercer Island School District, not only is Jamie a graduate of Mercer Island High School, she has also been a teacher and basketball coach for the same school for the last ten years. Her teaching experience includes English, Journalism, and Leadership and is National Board Certified. Jamie completed her administrative internship and served as Dean of Students during the 2011-12 school year. Jamie is a highly regarded teacher, coach, colleague and administrator in the district and brought passion and energy to the interview table where she once again proved to be an asset to the district, specifically to the high school administrative team. Jamie completed her Master of Arts degree at the University of Puget Sound and her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Washington.
Jeff comes to MIHS from the Snoqualmie Valley School District where he completed his administrative internship. Prior to that Jeff has been a highly respected history teacher and basketball coach at Mt. Si High School. Jeff also taught special education and coached multiple sports at Eastside Catholic High School prior to his appointment in Snoqualmie Valley. Jeff received his Master of Arts in Education at Seattle Pacific University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Gonzaga University.
